The superior and efficient heating capability of the Power-e™ Glass was independently and
repeatedly tested and confirmed by Kansas State University. By creating a thermal barrier
directly at the point of a building's greatest heat loss, KSU found that Power-e Glass can use up
to 40% less power to produce more consistent and comfortable room conditions than other
heating systems which must be oversized to overcome this heat loss.
Additionally, Power-e™ Glass windows facilitate zoned heating where and when you need it.
On-demand zoned heating is more efficient and offers operating savings when compared
to heating the entire building and the air in it. Forced air and radiant floor heat systems can
take substantial time to heat and make zoned heating difficult. On the other hand, Power-e™
Glass warms in 8 to 10 minutes and can be placed in interior and perimeter locations such as
walls, partitions and windows where heat is needed.
